• Please be careful when putting your costume on. These are hand crafted, one of a kind costumes that should be treated with respect and care. Do not force anything! Please zip up your costume slowly, ensuring all fibers of fur are out of the way. It is ideal to have a second person help you get into suit.
• It is highly recommended to wear Under Armor® or some form of sweat wicking spandex under your suit. This allows for better movement and keeping the performer cool. A balaclava should be worn under the costume head. This keeps the inside of your fursuit easy to clean and helps prevent moisture from seeping into the foam.
• Please be careful to not man handle your head. You should NOT pick up the head by the ears, jaw, nose, or neck. It is vital you carefully use two hands to take the head on and off.
After use
• We recommend brushing your suit before and after each use to keep the fibers in tact. PLEASE brush your suit carefully! Every costume is made with faux fur and will NOT grow back if its torn out.
• When you take your costume off, immediately turn it inside out and spray with the solution provided. For the best sanitary results, we recommend using a 50% water 50% Iso rubbing alcohol (any %). Please try to avoid products like Febreze® and Lysol®, these products tend to leave a sticky film on your costume which isn't safe for skin contact.
• Always hang your body suit until fully dry.
• Spray the rest of the suit with your cleaning solution. It is important to spray the insides of the feet, inside the hand paws, and inside of the head. You may turn your hand paws inside out to help drying.
Washing
• Body suits, hand paws, tails, and feet paws with minimal to no airbrushing may be put in the washing machine. Make sure you change the settings to COLD ONLY and delicate cycle. Make sure you turn your body suit inside out before putting them in!
• Avoid heavy, harsh soaps with color guards. Never use bleach.
• If you wish you put your suit in the dryer make sure it is on AIR ONLY. Any type of heat will melt the fibers and destroy your costume. You can also hang it up and let it air dry. Please make sure to thoroughly brush your suit out during this process. We recommend a Scuba Dive suit dryer, which can be found on Amazon.
• Feet paws and tails can be washed by hand or machine with laundry detergent and cold water. For hard/resin claws, Please put your paws in a laundry bag or pillow case to avoid damage from the washing machine.
• Please be very careful with airbrushing! Spot clean ONLY.
• If you have matting, use a blow dryer on the lowest settings and gentle blow out the area. Please make sure you are constantly moving the blow dryer and not holding it in one spot. It is also important to brush your suit as you blow dry it.
• The head should never be submerged in water. Simply spot clean the face with the cleaning solution provided, folex, or isopropl alcohol. The neck can be cleaned by dipping it into a tub or sink of cold water and scrubbed throughly with a laundry detergent. Rinse and place on an area where the neck can hang down and dry properly. Always remember to brush your fur during this process! We recommend keeping your head on a fan to dry.
• The inside of your head can be sprayed with a 50/50 water and rubbing alcohol solution and rubbed down with a damp cloth. Storage
• Never store your suit unless it is completely dried and sprayed with disinfectant. • Hanging your suit in a closet is the best way to store it. However, it can be neatly folded and stored in a bin, which should stay in a cool dry area. Avoid prolonged heat exposure, such as a hot car.
• Make sure your head has enough room. Never force anything on top of the head.
• Store in a cool, dry climate.
• Wedding dress covers are highly recommended when your body is not in use.
• Dryer sheets are an ideal way to keep your suit fresh and clean when not in use. Simply place them in the hand paws, feet paws, head, and body. Traveling
- When traveling with your fursuit, a hard plastic tote is highly recommended. Neatly fold your suit and do not overstuff. Make sure nothing is placed on top of the tote that could seriously damage it.
-Don’t forget your care set! (Brush, Spray, fan, needles and thread, etc..) -When traveling by plane, you may either use a tote within the TSA guidelines or a hard travel suitcase. A fursuit may look strange going through the X- ray machines, so it is important to specify what is in your luggage. Placing a photo of what it is may help, but it is also recommended to type up directions on how to put the suit back properly for TSA. For locking your tote, any TSA approved lock will due. Make sure the clips on your case are tight!
-For smaller parts such as heads, You can simply place it in a large tote bag and carry it on.
